Rick Taylor brings over 40 years of experience in construction and sales to his role as the founder and President of Hometown Roofing & Construction. A proud lifetime resident of Green, Ohio, Rick graduated from Green High School alongside his wife, Debby. Together, they have built a legacy rooted in family, community, and integrity. They raised their two daughters in Green and now cherish time spent with their two grandchildren.

In 2024, Rick and Debby celebrated 40 years of marriage—a testament to their enduring commitment to each other and the values they bring to every interaction. Rick is known for his genuine character, positive energy, and unwavering dedication to serving others.

Anthony Tyrrell

As the Director of Sales, I bring over 15 years of diverse experience in the construction industry, including more than 8 years in leadership roles. My career has been defined by a commitment to building strong client relationships, leading high-performing teams, and achieving success through strategic planning and innovative problem-solving. I take pride in understanding customer needs and delivering results that consistently exceed expectations.

Outside of work, I’m a devoted husband and proud father of four incredible kids. Family is at the heart of everything I do, and I cherish spending quality time with them. When I’m not with my family, you’ll likely find me on the golf course, exploring my passion for cars, or enjoying life’s simple pleasures with the people I care about most. My professional expertise, combined with my personal values, enables me to approach every challenge with balance, dedication, and a focus on creating meaningful connections.

Adam Johnson

I’m proud to serve as Vice President of Hometown Roofing & Construction, where I get to blend my small-town roots with big-picture ideas. Growing up in a hardworking, blue-collar family taught me the value of dedication and community, while my time at The Ohio State University gave me the tools to help small businesses grow. Over the last 15 years, I’ve had the privilege of helping a small Columbus team grow into a multi-state property management leader and worked with nonprofits focused on sustainability. Now, I bring that mix of experience and passion to every project we take on at Hometown.

At home, Kate and I are busy raising our two beautiful kids and volunteering with local animal rescues. I love spending time outdoors with my family and our dogs, whether it’s hiking, playing in the yard, or finding a new place to explore. I also stay connected to the community by volunteering as a treasurer for local nonprofits.

Ryan Sheppard

Since joining the Hometown Roofing & Construction team in early 2023, I have brought a wealth of experience and passion for helping clients bring their projects to life. Born and raised in Wadsworth, I’m deeply connected to the community I serve. With several years in the roofing industry and a strong background in home inspections, commercial inspections, new construction, and code compliance, I’m well-versed in structures of all ages and designs.

Having inspected over 2,000 residential and commercial properties since 2019, I have a sharp eye for detail and a commitment to delivering reasonable, honest solutions tailored to each client’s needs. My priority is ensuring every question is answered, every concern is addressed, and every project is completed to the highest standard.

As Director of Operations, Bob Zickefoose ensures Hometown Roofing & Construction’s projects run seamlessly. He oversees material sourcing, crew scheduling, and field operations, drawing on over a decade of project management expertise and a background in the rubber and plastic testing industry. Known for his strong communication, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail, Bob is dedicated to providing customers with a smooth home improvement experience.

Bryce Miller

As a dedicated roofing and construction professional, I specialize in our GAF solar program and am committed to being with you every step of the way—ensuring your project is completed with the highest quality service and care. With nearly a year of hands-on technical training, I bring a keen eye for detail and a solid foundation in architectural design. This expertise allows me to understand building techniques and materials deeply, providing tailored solutions that elevate both the functionality and aesthetics of projects, no matter the size or scope.

One of my most rewarding projects was helping a client transform their home with a new metal roof, siding, and gutters for a stunning addition. Experiences like this fuel my passion for growth, learning, and delivering exceptional results for every client.

Outside of work, I love playing golf with my dad and diving into my automotive passion with friends. These personal interests keep me grounded and inspired, allowing me to bring energy and enthusiasm to everything I do—both professionally and personally.

Chris Brady

After several years in healthcare, I’ve made the exciting transition into roofing and construction sales. Bringing with me a strong foundation of problem-solving, communication, and customer care. I am passionate about helping clients navigate the often-overwhelming process of home improvement; ensuring that their needs are met with the same level of professionalism and empathy I offered as a nurse.

With a keen eye for quality and a dedication to excellence, I’m committed to delivering superior results for every project. My background in healthcare has shaped my approach to customer service—always focused on building trust, providing clear guidance, and offering support every step of the way. With over 12 years of hands-on experience in the construction industry and more than five years in leadership and management, I take pride in overseeing projects with precision, efficiency, and a commitment to quality. As the Construction Manager at Hometown Roofing & Construction, I ensure that every project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. My focus is on problem-solving, team coordination, and maintaining strong relationships with both clients and crew members to deliver exceptional results.

Outside of work, I’m a simple man who enjoys the outdoors, whether it’s hunting, fishing, or just spending time in nature. Most importantly, I value quality time with my wife and our twin boys, making memories together as a family.

Matt Sherman

With over 17 years of experience in the roofing and construction industry, I’ve built a career on dedication, precision, and a true passion for delivering quality work. Whether it’s a roof repair or a full-scale construction project, I believe in treating every detail with care and every client like family.

I’m proud to call Hartville home, where I balance my work with my favorite role—being a husband and father to three amazing kids. When I’m not on the job, you’ll find me enjoying the outdoors, whether it’s hiking, fishing, or just soaking in the beauty of nature with my family.

I also have extensive experience navigating the complexities of the insurance process, ensuring my clients have a smooth and stress-free experience from start to finish. As a Project Manager, I am passionate about bringing customers' home projects to life and ensuring every detail is managed seamlessly from start to finish. With years of experience in commercial sales and a knack for connecting with people, I specialize in deck design and commercial roofing, combining technical expertise with a personal touch to create exceptional results.

One of my proudest achievements is leading Hometown's fastest-growing segment: stunning outdoor living spaces, including decks and porches. These high-demand projects require meticulous attention to detail and experienced project management, from preconstruction planning to final quality inspections. My goal is to ensure every phase is executed perfectly, delivering spaces clients can truly enjoy for years to come.

Outside of work, you’ll often find me enjoying the outdoors—whether it’s golfing, hiking, gardening, or caring for my property. I also have a creative side, with a passion for video and photo editing. In my downtime, I cherish relaxing with my wife, daughter, and our Bernese Mountain dogs, and I never miss a chance to cheer on Cleveland sports teams!
